Maikel is founder and director of Advocates for the Future. He is a former partner at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek N.V. in Brussels and has 20+ years' experience as a lawyer in contentious matters representing clients before the European and national courts, European Commission and national regulators.

Hanneke is a lawyer at Advocates for the Future. She is an experienced litigator and a sharp, critical and strategic thinker. Prior to joining Advocates for the Future, she worked in the litigation teams of Allen & Overy and Square in Amsterdam.

Irene is a lawyer at Advocates for the Future. With deep expertise in class actions and ESG law, Irene is driven to use strategic litigation as a powerful tool for systemic change. Prior to joining Advocates for the Future, she worked in the litigation team of Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam.

Hannah is campaign coordinator at Advocates for the Future, and a renowned activist in the Netherlands. She recently published a book "Je bent jong en je wil wat toekomst" addressing the next generation of worried youngsters and calling upon the Dutch government to take more action against climate change.

Rebecca is a lawyer at Advocates for the Future. Prior to joining AftF she worked in the litigation team of Kennedy Van der Laan. She worked on many liability cases, including the climate case started by Greenpeace and eight inhabitants of Bonaire against the Dutch State in relation to the lack of protection offered by the State against climate change. 

Pien is Legal Associate at Advocates for the Future. She holds Master’s degrees in Criminal Law and International Human Rights. Prior to joining AftF she worked as a clerk in criminal proceedings and contributed to research on systemic failures in child protection following the Dutch child benefits scandal.

Jet is a paralegal at Advocates for the Future and is currently finishing her master's degree in criminal law. Besides working at Advocates for the Future, Jet works as a secretary at a law firm. Jet is passionate about climate action and committed to using her legal background to combat climate change.

Cas is a campaigner at Advocates for the Future. Prior to joining AftF he was a campaigner at Greenpeace Netherlands, where he worked on a number of successful campaigns.. Cas is a passionate environmental advocate and sustainability strategist with a proven track record of driving impactful change.   

Ilona is Financial and Operational Coordinator at Advocates for the Future. With more than thirty years of experience in business operations, she contributes to the growth and development of Advocates for the Future. Ilona holds a BSc in Economics and Linguistics from the HES in Rotterdam.

Femke is co-founder of Catalytic. She is a former Global Forest Director and Executive Director of Greenpeace Mexico. Femke was also Managing Partner at THNK School of Leadership, where she designed and facilitated transformational leadership programs.

Caecilia is Artistic Director of stichting Oorkaan. She is a stage director in opera, music theatre, staged concerts and dance dramaturge.

Radboud is a senior management consultant for civil society organisations. He previously served as Organization Director at PAX for Peace. Radboud is a member of the supervisory board of SOMO. 

Sanne is Head of Branding & Identity at Triodos Bank group. She has been part of the management team of Greenpeace Netherlands and is an experienced campaigner.

Jaantje is a lawyer at Jebbink Soeteman, specialised in criminal law. She regularly defends protestors in legal proceedings against the government.
