Together with more than 50 civil society organisations, we sent an urgent letter to Commissioner Jørgensen, raising deep concerns about the EU’s potential plans to invest in foreign LNG and fossil gas export infrastructure in exchange for long-term contracts and lower gas prices, as revealed by the first draft of the Affordable Energy Action Plan.

Such a move would lock Europe into fossil fuel dependency while posing significant geopolitical and economic risks.
